Corten steel is a steel alloy that naturally “rusts” in the atmosphere, forming a dense oxide film, which protects the base material from oxygen and moisture, and imparts a natural rust-brown appearance, giving the rectangular planters a rustic yet modern aesthetic.

The rectangular silhouette of the planter fits perfectly with modern architecture, and its straight edges serve as a visual focal point as well as a space divider and accent. Corten Steel Planter is made from high-strength low-alloy steel (ASTM A588 standard), which initially has a metallic sheen and develops a stable rust layer of 50-100μm through wet and dry cycling (typically 3-6 months). This rust layer prevents oxygen and contaminants, reducing the corrosion rate to 1/8th that of ordinary steel, ensuring no leaks or structural failures.

It can withstand rain, snow, wind, sand and other natural tests, even if it is placed outdoors for a long period of time without additional paint corrosion protection, not require maintenance.
