During the initial 3\u20136 month weathering phase, light rust-coloured runoff can occur \u2014 this is normal and temporary. We strongly recommend either choosing our pre-rust planter, which reduces runoff by over 90%, or using a rubber drip tray underneath until the patina fully stabilises. Once sealed, no further staining occurs.
